Fundamentals of collaborative robot safety
A collaborative robot is defined by what it’s doing and where it’s doing it rather than by the robot itself. Purposely designed robots work in direct cooperation with a human within a defined workspace, or in a collaborative workspace where the robot and a human can perform tasks simultaneously during production operation.
